Registration Opens for the 3rd Japan-US Technical Information Exchange Forum on Blast Injury (JUFBI 2018)

The 3rd Japan-US Technical Information Exchange Forum on Blast Injury (JUFBI 2018) will take place from May 9-11, 2018 in Tokyo, Japan. JUFBI 2018 is being hosted by the National Defense Medical College Japan (NDMC) and will be held at the Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo (tentative) 2-2-1 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-Ku, Tokyo 160-8330, Japan (Due to the Japanese Government's budget schedule, the venue will officially be announced later).

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Blast Injury Research Program Coordinating Office (PCO), NDMC, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TAT), and the U.S. Army, Research Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) established JUFBI to bring together the broad knowledge and expertise across the blast injury research community and to share national experiences and evidence-based approaches for treating blast injuries.

JUFBI 2018 will cover several broad topic areas, including blast injury epidemiology; primary blast injury; long-term effects and chronic symptoms of blast injury; prevention, protection, and mitigation of blast injury; diagnosis of blast injury; generation, sensing, and characterization of blast/shock waves; and novel methods and technology for blast injury research.

For those interested in submitting an abstract, prepare your abstract according to the template available on the JUFBI 2018 website and submit by February 28, 2018.
